Our much-taken-for-granted Mideast oil source was once again prey to the designs of a tyrant intent on controlling price and supply in order to equip and maintain a foreboding military strike force. Americans quickly took notice of the Iraqi invasion as, within hours, prices at the gas pumps began to spiral upward.
